Kanye West has deleted his X account after a string of inflammatory posts, including a savage attack on Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl.
Rapper Kanye West has wiped his presence from social media, specifically the platform X (previously known as Twitter), after targeting Taylor Swift.
Before deleting his account, the rapper posted a series of eyebrow-raising updates, including a scathing critique of Swift during the Super Bowl. In his farewell message, he stated: “I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip. Love all of you who gave me your energy and attention. To we connect again. Good afternoon and good night.”
West has been surrounded by controversy in recent times due to his provocative remarks, and his latest jabs at Swift have again set tongues wagging. This comes after Taylor faced a temporary ban from Philadelphia radio stations in the lead-up to the Super Bowl.
In a move that sent shockwaves across the internet, Kanye unexpectedly began following Swift on Instagram right before the Grammys and even referenced one of her songs in a post about his partner, Bianca Censori.
During the 2025 Super Bowl, West unleashed a harsh critique on X, targeting Swift’s television appearance: “IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE … WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE.”, reports the Mirror.
Kanye West has continued his streak of provoking controversy with a fresh series of inflammatory remarks on platform X, targeting Lamar and pointing fingers at the broader entertainment industry with the statement: “KENDRICK IS BEING USED BY THESE WHITE PEOPLE AND JEWS AND SO AM I.”
His latest tirade includes a cryptic message about his attempts to sway platform magnate Elon Musk and evade social media exile: “AS I TWEET IN CODE WORDS AD KISS ELONS A** AND BEG HIM TO NOT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT,” West vented.
Hot on the heels of his recent antisemitic outburst, the Mirror US documented Kanyes unsettling aspiration to trivialise discourse around Adolf Hitler: “I’m going to normalize talking about Hitler they way talking about killing n****s has been normalized.”
Not known for subtlety, Kanye also boasted, “Hitler was sooooo fresh,” and brazenly proclaimed, “CALL ME YAYDOLF YITLER AND YOUR B**** STILL WANTS TO F***.”
Standing firm against censure, West announced, “IM NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS I CAN WHATEVER THE F** I WANNA SAY FOREVER WHERES MY F**ING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS SUCK MY D**** HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY,” showcasing his unrepentant posture on platform X. Calls have been made to delete his account on X, with its owner and once ally, Elon Musk, severing ties by unfollowing West on the service.
West took to Twitter, expressing uncertainty about his future on the platform: “Elon unfollowed me so I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be on twitter / X, If I’m taken off go to…” He then left an unfinished message that included a direction towards his fashion brand’s website, Yeezy.com. Kanye has previously faced suspensions from his account on X following racist remarks.
In December 2022, he faced a ban after posting antisemitic comments and openly admiring Hitler, which prompted Elon to state that the account was suspended “for incitement to violence” when Ye shared an image combining a swastika with the Star of David.
He highlighted the grim reality: “That’s twice as many people as the number of Jews in existence. His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews.”
David didn’t hold back, stating: “I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity.”
