Sylvester Stallone has denied rumors that his pet dog caused the breakup of his 25-year marriage.

Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, reportedly filed for divorce on Wednesday, August 24, after they fought over a young Rottweiler named Dwight.

It is believed that the disagreement began because Stallone wanted the dog for “protection” and Flavin did not want another animal. This reportedly led to a “very heated discussion and raised other issues”. However, Stallone has denied claims that the couple’s split was caused by their dog.

“We didn’t end the relationship over a petty argument like that,” the “Rocky” star, 76, told TMZ, but admitted that the couple had disagreements over “how to care for the dog” because they traveled frequently and were traveling. They split up.

According to Stallone, the couple were simply moving “in different directions” when they suddenly split.

“I have the highest regard for Jennifer. I will always love him. She is an incredible woman. “He is the most amazing person I have ever met,” he continued.

He also touched on the subject of Flavin’s tattoos, which include a picture of his dog, Dwight.

Before revealing that he still has his ex-wife’s tattoo on his back, the Expendables star said he tried to “refresh” his Flavin tattoo but “he ruined it and the dog was just a meaningless embellishment.”

Flavin’s divorce filing last week caught Stallone by surprise, Page Six exclusively revealed, with Stallone “shocked” by the news while filming the Paramount+ series Tulsa King in Oklahoma City.

“I am sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage, I have filed for divorce from my husband, Sylvester Stallone,” Flavin told People. “While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the 30-plus years of our relationship and know that we are both devoted to our beautiful daughters.”

In 1988, when Flavin was a 19-year-old model and Stallone was 42 and had been through two divorces, the couple began dating. They got married in 1997 after getting back together and had three daughters: Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.
