The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will soon hit the field for Super Bowl LIX. Kansas City enters the matchup looking to earn their third straight title.
A win for the Chiefs would make them the first team in the modern era to secure a three-peat.
Before the Chiefs attempted to make NFL history, tight end Travis Kelce spoke with the media, where he finally revealed his decision on his future in the league.
Kelce mentioned that he hopes to be playing football in three years and “plans” on playing in Kansas City following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX run.
“Where will I be in 3 years?” Kelce said. “Hopefully, still playing football…For the most part, I plan on being a Kansas City Chief and playing football.”
Kelce’s retirement has come into question, given his age and previous decline in the regular season. Despite a slow start to the 2024 season, Kelce has turned up the heat in the postseason.
In two games during the postseason, Kelce has recorded a combined two touchdowns and 136 yards on nine receptions.
