Elton John has confirmed he will never tour again
In an interview published by Entertainment Tonight on June 27, the iconic singer and musician, 77, was asked if he ever plans to tour again. John gave a blunt answer: “No.”
Her husband, David Furnish, 61, added: “We have our children, they are entering their teenage years. We don’t want to miss out on anything. We want to be there for that moment. I think it’s a key decade in a child’s life.”
“He’s been doing it for 60 years,” said Elton John’s husband.

Furnish added of John: “He’s been doing it for 60 years, so it’s nice to have that time to spend at home with the family.”
John and Furnish have been together since 1993 and married since 2014.
Together, they share sons Zachary Jackson, 13, and Elijah Joseph, 11.
The EGOT award winner’s latest world tour, “Farewell Yellow Brick Road,” began in 2018 in North America and ended in Stockholm, Sweden, in July 2023. At the time, John told the crowd it had been “52 years of pure joy.”
Elton John’s husband said he wants to be “present” when his children are a teenager.

Furnish shared a video on Instagram of him and the couple’s children waving from the side of the stage during the “Tiny Dancer” singer’s final show in Stockholm.
“And off he goes… One last trip down the Yellow Brick Road 330 shows his history. He finally turns off the highway and heads off into the sunset,” Furnish wrote in the caption.
“We are so excited for the next chapter together. We love you dad.”

In a 2022 interview with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America,” John opened up about his kids.
“They both play piano and Elijah started playing trumpet,” the “Rocketman” singer said then.
“Elijah is heading up to the stage. I don’t know what Zachary is going to do, his passion is fishing. And the best thing about my life is that when we had these kids, everything changed.”
“That’s why I go off the road,” the “Bennie and the Jets” singer added.
“What more could I ask for? I’ve had enough applause… I just want the applause of my kids telling me, ‘You’ve been a good father. ’”
